Design basis
Define capacity, demand profile, gas conditions, operating envelope and availability objectives. Evidence: agreed design basis, customer duties and supply assumptions.

Gas conditioning
Confirm dryer duty, outlet moisture, regeneration, bypass philosophy and pressure drop. Location before or after compression depends on the final design.
Compression
Verify suction and discharge conditions, cooling, electrical load, turndown and duty cycle. Multiple compressors may share load; standby capability must be demonstrated for the required duty.
Storage & priority
Verify vessel volume basis, working pressure, usable pressure range and bank sequencing. Two-line or three-line priority arrangements require confirmed piping and control logic.
Vehicle dispensing
Verify dispenser ratings, vehicle connectors, temperature compensation, metering, hose layout and simultaneous demand. Review vehicle access and queuing with the operating profile.
Control & protection
Define instrumentation, permissives, trips, emergency shutdown, alarms and records through an approved cause-and-effect matrix. Protection acts across the system; it is not a downstream gas-flow component.
